I'm sorry for not posting anything in so long. At at the beginning of the month, my husband went for a short bicycle ride around the neighborhood one evening and ended up in the hospital after falling off his bike. He hit his head, was knocked unconscious and woke up in the hospital. I was getting very worried when he wasn't back after dark and later got a call from the hospital to let me know that he was there. He suffered a traumatic brain injury, a broken hip, a laceration on his forehead as well as other more minor injuries. Thankfully a man saw him fall and called an ambulance.
After spending two weeks in the hospital, my husband finally came home last weekend. He will be alright but now we're facing weeks of in-home therapy for him and he has to avoid putting weight on his bad leg for the next month or so. So, I won't have time for drawing and other hobbies for a while. The few drawings that I posted earlier this month had already been scanned and were ready to blog about before my husband's accident.

Today's Tangle - Heart Twig
"Heart Twig" is by Barbara Duel Johnson CZT and her pattern is posted HERE at TanglePatterns. I drew the alternating variation that is shown on her step-out and added some "Beadlines" between the ribbons of "Heart Twig".

Today's Tangle - Essalot
"Essalot" is by Michelle Dugdale CZT and you'll find her step-out HERE at TanglePatterns. I drew the tile below first then decided to draw larger "S" shapes on the tile above so that I could draw larger leaves. I added some curly "vines" to the tile above and "berries" to both tiles to add some interest.

Video Tutorial - Nidhi Prakash Mandala 45
For today's tiles I followed THIS YouTube video by Nidhi Prakash called "Balance". I made several tweaks to my second tile above and colored it with colored pencils and metallic gold ink. One big tweak was that I scaled down the size of the mandala above, as well as the one below, to fit on a 6-inch tile instead of an 8-inch one like Nidhi used in her tutorial.
Below is the first mandala which I drew while following the video. I drew it pretty much like Nidhi shows in the video.

Today's Tangle - Rush Hour
Since blogging about "Rush Hour" the other day, I learned of another pattern that is the same as "Rush Hour" and "Squoven". It's called "haKrall" by Holly Atwater CZT and her step-out is posted HERE on her blog.
For information about where to find the other two step-outs and some video tutorials, read THIS post from Sunday.
