I drew this by following Kelli Blouin's "Mini-Mandala Monday - 57" video which you can watch HERE. This mandala features the tangles "DooDah", "Eke", "Hibred" and "Scoodle" which are all from Zentangle.

Video Tutorial - Nidhi Prakash Mandala 97

I followed THIS "Mandala 97" video by Nidhi Prakash. This is drawn on a 6x6 inch tile. I used colored pencils and a metallic gold gel pen. I smoothed the colored pencil with odorless mineral spirits.

Today's Tangle - Puppyhugs

"Puppyhugs" is featured in the Zentangle Project Pack 23, Day 2 video which you can watch HERE. "Puppyhugs" is a combination of the tangles "Cadent" and "Huggins". I suspect that the "Puppy" part of the name comes from "Cadent" being similar to a Houndstooth pattern. "Hugs" is obviously from "Huggins". As far as I know, they haven't published a step-out for this tangle which they said is usually drawn in a grid. I might give that a try to see how it would look in that format.

Yesterday I came upon these two tiles from 2018 that I had never blogged about. I have no idea how I missed them. The pattern is called "Unite" and is by Ina Sonnenmoser. You'll find the step-out HERE. I remember that this was a very challenging pattern to draw.

Video Tutorial - Mini-Mandala Monday - 51

I drew this by following Kelli Blouin's "Mini-Mandala Monday - 51" video which you can watch HERE. Mine looks a little different than Kelli's because I wasn't paying attention to where I was filling in with black ink near the orbs. Rather than leaving the outer arches plain white, I added some fine lines. I did draw little orbs in the center but later decided that I wasn't happy with them so I covered them with black.

Today's Tangle - 3V

"3V" is by Mina Hsiao CZT and her step-out is posted HERE at TanglePatterns. The triangles are very tiny and narrow making it a challenge to draw the inner auras inside them.
