Today's Tangle - Diva Dance a la Tomàs Padrós

Here is one more "Diva Dance" tile inspired by the variation by Tomàs Padrós. You can see his tile HERE on Instagram. To avoid having some of my strips run into each other and not overlap correctly, I drew them in stages, starting with the center section. Next I drew the sections to the left and right of the center followed by the outer two sections. I ended up with a few fun overlapping strips here and there and that's fine.

Today's Tangle - Diva Dance a la Tomàs Padrós

I drew the tile above first then I decided to draw it again a bit larger. I found it kind of difficult to know how wide to draw the auras so that they would fit the width of the tile. I ended up with too much black space on the bottom tile below because I drew the strips/ribbons a little too thin. By the time I drew the yellow tile, I realized that it doesn't matter too much if some of the strips overlap in a few places.

Today's Tangle - Dark Busters & Tipple

I blogged about "Dark Busters" HERE recently and I really wanted to give them another go. You can read more information about this pattern in my previous post. I filled the gaps between the "Dark Busters" with "Tipple", which is by Zentangle. Read more about "Tipple" HERE.

This time I thought I would try adding a sparkle to the orbs. This actually made the curving arcs a bit easier to draw because the lines are broken into two shorter segments. I began each arc in the center where the sparkle would be, drawing the left side of the arc and then the right side.

In case you're wondering, the card stock that I used for this tile has colored bits of fiber embedded in the paper.
