"Amalea" is by Chrissie Frampton CZT and her pattern is posted HERE on flickr. I really had to pay close attention to where I was drawing the diagonal lines that form the inner black pinwheels. Chrissie doesn't show any shading on her example but went ahead and added some to mine.
I really like the effect of this one - it makes my eyes dance around on the tile.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of Adele Bruno's Mack tangle which has a similar structure but then add other fills and shading.
I just couldn't bear to leave it looking plain. Yes, Mack is a similar design made up of triangle fragments. I blogged about that one HERE.
