"Z'ele" is by Jane Dickinson CZT and her step-out is posted HERE on her blog. I thoroughly enjoyed drawing my first tile below but I struggled with how to embellish it. For the tile above, I started with a grid with 4 squares across and down instead of two which made it easier to draw the loops. I love the pretty design that resulted from drawing it smaller. I drew the grid in pencil and erased it later for a light, airy look. I decided that it didn't need any shading and Jane didn't use any on her example images either.
Your top example is delightful. Z'ele reminds me a bit of my Snag tangle too!
