Tangling on Octagon Tiles

This time I looked through my stash of tangles for ones that looked like they might work well with this tile shape. I have quite a few more ideas that I'd like to try as well. The tangles that I used on today's tile are "Remo" by Anne Marks and "Layla" by Lila Popcheff. I blogged about "Remo" HERE. You'll find Lila's step-out for "Layla" HERE.

I created a PDF file with outlines of octagons in various sizes which you can download HERE. The largest octagon template will fit a standard 3.5 x 3.5 inch square tile. The smaller ones can be traced onto your tile to use as guides for drawing tangles inside the octagon tile similar to a mandala grid. I suggest printing them out, gluing them onto heavy card stock and cutting them out for reusable templates.
