You are right, Susan. All three patterns are pretty much the same. It is apparently a popular design that has probably been around for decades, if not centuries. I hadn't seen Holly's step-out before and I like the look of the more open version. I'll give that one a try sometime. Thanks for letting me know about Holly's pattern.
