Today's Tangle - Dark Busters

"Dark Busters" is by Diana Marshall. Her step-out is posted in a couple of places on Facebook but you may need to be a member of the group to see it. It is posted HERE and HERE. I couldn't think of a way to use this pattern in a composition but I wanted to try it out so I simply drew a string of them. They are simple to draw but I suggest drawing the arcing auras very slowly to get the neatest results.

Today's Tangle - Jewelz

"Jewelz" is by Cyndi Knapp and you'll find her pattern HERE at TanglePatterns. I couldn't decide which digital background I liked the best with this tile so I'm posting both of them. I think that the one above shows off the tile more clearly but the one below makes a prettier composition.

Video Tutorial - Novu

Here is another round tile that I drew by following THIS "Novu" video tutorial by The Tireless Tangler. This time I drew the design with purple ink and filled the spaces with metallic gold ink.

To draw today's round tile, I followed THIS "Novu" video tutorial by The Tireless Tangler. I drew it with black ink on a cream colored tile and filled in the spaces with metallic bronze ink.

Today's Tangle - Tile Pattern #3

Today's tiles are based on a photo of some blue and white ceramic tiles which I saw on Pinterest. I'm calling the design "Tile Pattern #3" because I was inspired by two other tiles from Pinterest and tangled those two designs.

I followed THIS video on Instagram by Vandana Krishna. Her design features the tangles "Akeba" (Gloria  Barocio CZT), "Fragment B1" (Zentangle), "Opus" (Zentangle) and "Wings" (Suzanne McNeill CZT).

For today's tile, I decided to add some color. I made an oopsie on the center vertical ribbon so I changed all of the motifs to match my mistake.

I have never drawn the pattern "Zutto" before and I was pleased that it wasn't difficult even though it looks very complicated. Video Tutorial - Spring Tile

As I mentioned in my post on Thursday, I wanted to try this design in some other colors. This time I used Staedtler Triplus fineliner pens in Tuscan Red #260 and Olive Green #57. You probably can't see it but I added some touches of silver glitter ink.

I followed THIS Zenvoyage "Spring Tile" video by Elena Babayants. I don't have any green tiles so I used bluish-green ones instead. I drew the tangles with Staedtler Triplus fineliner pens in Opal Green #59 and Burnt Sienna #73. For the shading I used colored pencils in colors similar to the pens and added accents with white chalk pencil and white Gelly Roll ink.

I drew the tile below first and enjoyed it so much that I drew another one in the same colors. I like both of them and I can't decide which tile I like better. I might draw another one in different colors.

Today's Tangle - HaWy

"HaWy" is by Holly Atwater and you'll find her step-out HERE on her blog.  I know that there are other patterns out there that make this same sort of design but Holly's method seems a bit different.
