Update

If you are wondering why I haven't posted anything since Friday, that's because my computer crashed just moments after uploading Friday's post. My computer is in the shop and I don't know yet if it can be repaired or if I will have to buy a new computer. In the meantime, I am able to access my email and do a few other basic things from my husband's computer but I have no way to scan or edit my drawings.

  1. Oh, dear! Computer crashes are a real pain in the butt. I always feel like the floor just opened up under my desk chair and I am floating in limbo while sweat runs down my spine. Did I back up EVERYTHING??!!
If you have to buy a new one, bring the old one back and let it know how a hammer treatment feels like.
Good luck for a speedy 'recovery'.

    1. Thanks for your sympathy, Susie. I still haven't heard anything about my computer or if it's fixable or not. It is nearly 20 years old though so it's probably time to have a new computer built. I do have everything backed up on two internal backup drives but it scares me to death that my entire life is in the hands of a stranger. In the meantime, I'm not feeling very creative and have only drawn a couple of tiles in the past week. I've also done a little beading but my heart wasn't in it.

    2. I know EXACTLY what you are talking about and how you feel. These technical contraptions have become like kids to us (to me for sure!!!). But you are correct, yours has way outgrown its physical (and probably software) existence and you have to let it go and get a new baby. I have never heard of a computer lasting 20 years!!! Sounds like the stone ages to me. So THINK POSITIVE (I am sure all will turnout well!!) and look forward to the challenges of using a new computer.
